本計画は、単なる居住面積の拡大ではなく、既存のLDKを「庭」という外部環境へとダイレクトに繋げ、空間の質を根本から更新するリノベーションです。
設計の核となったのは、室内から外部へとシームレスに連続する視覚的・空間的な広がりです。深く伸びた軒下空間は、大開口のサッシとともに内と外の境界を曖昧にし、光や風、季節の移ろいを肌で感じるテラスとして機能します。この「中間領域」が、既存の住まいに新たな呼吸をもたらします。
また、リビングの一角には出窓のようなベンチを配置しました。そこから見える既存の植栽は、まるで額縁に収められた絵画のように切り取られ、日常の何気ないシーンに情緒豊かな彩りを添えます。
木、石、タイルといった自然素材を適所に配したモダンなインテリアは、経年変化を楽しめる既存部分の趣とも静かに共鳴します。古いものと新しいものが重なり合い、庭へと拡張された豊かな空間は、家族の時間をより深く、穏やかなものへと導いてくれるはずです。

This renovation is more than a simple expansion of floor area; it is a fundamental transformation of the LDK’s spatial quality by directly connecting it to the "garden" environment.
The core of the design lies in the seamless visual and spatial continuity from the interior to the exterior. The deep, extended eaves, paired with large-scale openings, blur the boundary between inside and out, creating a terrace that serves as an interface to experience the light, breeze, and changing seasons. This "intermediary space" breathes new life into the existing home.
Additionally, a bench reminiscent of a bay window has been integrated into the living area. It frames the existing garden greenery like a living painting, adding emotional depth and color to the scenes of daily life.
The modern interior—featuring a thoughtful palette of natural materials such as wood, stone, and tile—resonates quietly with the charm of the original structure, which honors the beauty of aging. By weaving the old with the new and extending the living space toward the garden, we have created a rich environment that fosters deeper, more peaceful moments for the family.
